IT IS GOING TO BE BETTER THAN GOOD

“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” ~ Psalm 27: 13
There are seasons in life when things just seem too hard and it doesn’t appear as if there is light at the end of the tunnel. In order to just get by we can give up hoping for something different. I know this too well; it’s easier to accept the current conditions for the sake of being okay, because it’s hard to keep dreaming when there is no evidence to support your vision one day being a reality. However this is the greatest compromise that robs us of the life we could be living.

Our decisions today are creating our tomorrow whether we realize it or not. Being half hearted in our today will never produce a great future. Just getting by or being okay is not our portion. Even in hard times, greatness is our portion.
“Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow.” ~ anonymous
We serve the Living God; even in our valleys where it’s dark and cold, we must choose to serve Him. To be an offering even in difficulties. I know it’s not easy when we feel discouraged, but if we let feelings rule over us we’ve lost the plot all together. We are to rule over this life, and especially to rule over our own feelings. Speak life into yourself and be your no. 1 encourager. The no. 1 encourager voice will be our most strategic partner in this life for getting through seasons of waiting on the Lord. We will never be disappointed.
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” ~ Proverbs 13: 12
Take hold of the truth when it feels better to let go of everything we believe. In those dark moments, this is the time when faith has to be activated. Hebrews 10: 38 says, “The just shall live by faith and not by sight”.
Lord, help us to understand the seasons of our life🙏🏾!
It may feel foolish to keep dreaming, but this is when we should put our trust in God. Those times of ‘no way out’ are when we should stick our heads in the word and stay there until we can believe again. Speak the word to yourself. Meditate on the word; take it apart in your mind, ponder on what it is saying to us today. We have a promise that we shall see God when we seek Him with all our hearts in Jeremiah 29: 13.
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” ~ James 1: 2 - 4
Faith is not a natural thing. It’s a supernatural thing. It is the ingredient that makes us complete. Without faith we are tossed about by every wind. Only when we stand strong in what we believe is faith activated by a spirit that is overflowing with the word of God. All things with a message contrary to the word have to be cut out of our lives. It’s a matter of us reaching our fullest potential.
“So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” ~ Matthew 17: 20
The enemy is at work everyday to bring doubt into the equations happening in our minds and heart. If he cannot attack what we believe about God, he will attack what we believe about ourselves. So that we can with the same mouth say, “God is great and can do ALL things” and at the same moment think “I’m not good enough. If I can just hold on in the faith till my dying day.” It’s not humility to think of ourselves as a people lacking something. We have been made whole by the blood of Jesus. He removed our blindness, and has made us to see. He has strengthened and straightened our physical beings. He has fixed all that was broken. What is missing He will fill. That’s the power of our God 🙌🏽! We humbly come to him in service, presenting ourselves as vessels ready for service. Humility is becoming a living sacrifice for Jesus (Romans 12: 1). Where we no longer live for ourselves but for Him.
“He must increase, but I must increase.” ~ John 3: 30
We have been entrusted to be the hands and feet of God in our generation. I don’t believe God put incapable hands and feet to carry His name. All that we need to excel is available to us. Would you make a person who is not capable your proxy? I hope not.
We are more than capable. We are equipped to get through all that life has to throw at us. Even in seasons of loss, sickness, and heartache; we see God’s love, mercy, and grace abounding. The harder it gets, the more God shows up to make sure we get through. He is always with us.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ~ Isaiah 41: 10
We will be fruitful in this life. Every area of our lives will bear fruit. It’s not a matter of if this will happen, but of when. In season we will bear fruit. We have to be in the correct position, like a tree planted by streams of water, and we will bear fruit at the appointed season (Psalm 1: 3). Sometimes it’s just that simple. A farmer doesn’t get frustrated when it’s not harvest time. He knows that the time is coming. All that is required is to sow before the rains, and wait for harvest season. Your time will come. Don’t be moved by anything. Wait on the Lord. Continue to work in service to the Almighty.
Can you believe it? Really believe it down in your soul?
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9: 23
What is impossible with man is possible with God. Not because we are a people of great talent or skillfulness but because He is great God with whom none can compare. When we base our future on who God is, it can only be greater than anything we ever imagined. However if we base our future on ourselves, it’s hard to see greatness. Let’s keep our eyes on God. He alone is able. Let our posture always be, in the words of Oprah Winfrey, “Lord use me till I’m all used up.” Whatever may come, may we be found serving.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” ~ Romans 8: 28
Legacies are made here on earth. Be found at work. Impact is a result of men and women who won’t quit no matter what the situation. People who stand faithfully on a power greater than their own. We are destined for great things. No eye has seen, no ear has heard what God has in store for those who love him (1 Corinthians 2: 9).
Go out and be great 🙏🏾. God is able.
